Lecture at Murin-an Garden by Soundscape Association of Japan

December 21, 2013 – President Tomoki Kato gave a lecture on garden soundcape and the enjoyment of sounds such as “tebouki” (bamboo hand broom) and gardening scissors. The event “Enjoy the Sounscape of Murin-an Garden through the “tebouki” and the “hospitality of the garden”” was hosted by the Garden Soundscape WG of the Soundscape Association of Japan.

President Tomoki Kato, participated in shooting the BS Asahi program “Hyakunen-meika, Kyoto Arashiyama Tairyusanso Nanzenji kaiwai bessogun wo meguru tabi” broadcast from 12:00 on December 8th, 2013. In this program, he walked around Tairyusanso Garden with Noriko Yashima and Riho Makise, introducing the garden’s highlights.

2013 Environmental Study Sessions for Elementary Students

2013 – The Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry conducted environmental study sessions for elementary students. Our staff, Mayumi Ida and Yosuke Ohta led the lecture on the symbiotic relationship of plants and animals as well as a quiz rally theme on “enjoying observation of nature.” Thank you to the elementary staff for having us.
