The Former Retreat of Tomomi Iwakura, which UEYAKATO takes care and operates as a designated management, was featured in the Kyoto Traditional Products Association magazine "Kyo Noren vol.87." The Retreat was the meeting place of important figures of the Meiji era. Iwakura retreated himself there for three years and the historical relics can be viewed in addition to the historic architecture.
