Korean Forest Service Research Project

Tomoki Kato was interviewed as part of the Korea Forest Service's "Re-establishment of the Korean Garden for the Popularization of Garden Culture" project. His concepts of garden fostering and the preservation and active use of cultural property gardens were included in their report "Reinterpreting Korea's Historical Gardens with the Aim of Popularizing and Internationalizing Korean Gardens." We are delighted to have been able to share the concept of garden fostering beyond the framework of the "Japanese garden." Through our efforts at protecting gardens as traditional culture and passing them down to later generations, we intend to continue cooperating beyond national boundaries and advancing toward the future.
