"Cultural lecture: Get to know Japanese traditional paintings" held at Murin-an was featured in the Kyoto Shimbun, KBS Kyoto Broadcasting, Yomiuri Shimbun, Sankei Shimbun and Asahi Shimbun. UEYAKATO planned this cultural series to introduce the works of Jakaku Itoh and other painters of the Jakuchu school in the natural lights, not inside the protective glass cases, and also especially in the Japanese traditional Sukiya architecture. It was an event where the participants could enjoy the popular paintings in the original settings just like the old times, surrounded by the meticulously cared garden.
