Ueyakato Landscape’s Director of Heritage and Garden Artistry Saki Yamada, Representative Director and President Tomoki Kato, our Garden Division’s Tomio Sakaue and Designated Management Division’s Ayako Ota won a 2021 Japanese Institute of Landscape Architecture Award (Business Management) for “A New System of Administration and Operations Management for Cultural Property Gardens: Magnification of the Garden's Intrinsic Value (MoGIVa) at Murin-an.”
On May 22, 2021, an awards ceremony was held at the Japanese Institute for Landscape Architecture’s National Conference, where a presentation by the awardees was given. For this year’s conference, which was held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we made a video presentation featuring several appearances by Murin-an’s staff.
We intend to continue communicating the value of cultural properties through our operations management and striving for garden usage programs that contribute even more to the preservation of cultural property gardens.
