Ueyakato Landscape gardeners Yosuke Ota and Shota Minami and Minami Asada of the Environmental Culture Planning Division cooperated in “Caring for the Forest of Mt. Kiyomizu,” a project sponsored by the Kyoto Traditional Culture Forest Promotion Council. Under the instruction of lecturer Ken’ichi Takada, we thought with council associates and Kyoto citizens about “What kind of landscape do we want?” and then conducted improvement cutting mainly on evergreens around the peak of Mt. Kiyomizu.
