"Jardins en Dialogue" (Gardens in Dialogue), a film co-produced by Ueyakato Landscape and the French Embassy of Japan, directed by our company’s Saki Yamada, and featuring our gardeners Sueo Kato and Daisuke Yoshikawa, was shown at Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2021.
Every autumn, Kyoto City and Institut français du Japon-Kansai hold this event to promote Japan-France cultural exchange.

This film is a record of a dialogue on gardens (held from separate locations under the circumstances of COVID-19) between Ueyakato Landscape’s Sueo Kato, also chairman of Japan's Council for Preservation Techniques for Gardens Designated as Cultural Properties, Alain Baraton, gardener-in-chief of the park at the Palace of Versailles, and landscape architect Jacqueline Osty.

The film is also scheduled to be shown at Institut français du Japon-Tokyo and in France.
